Responsibilities of Senior Manager Transformation & Governance

  • Develop and support the implementation of a Transformation Strategy that aligns with the Bank’s overall goals.
  • Ensure that the Strategy stays up to date with changes to industry standards or regulatory expectations.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the current processes and systems, and lead initiatives to enhance these areas.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, such as IT, operations, and the business to drive change and ensure successful implementation of the transformation program.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the progress of the compliance transformation plan and any risks or challenges.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, such as, Business cases, Work Request Forms (WRF), Business Requirement Documents (BRD) to explicitly specify the project background, objective, benefits, risks, functional requirements, and cost impact analysis of key change initiatives that underpin the Strategy.
  • Develop Risk Control Self Assessments for key change initiatives, ensuring that potential risks that could impact the success of the program are managed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators and third-party vendors, including Compliance system vendors.
  • Promote a culture of compliance across the Bank and ensure that all employees are aware of their role in the Transformation Strategy.

Requirements of Senior Manager Transformation & Governance

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field like Finance, Accounting, Banking, or Business
  • At least 7+ years of experience in financial services across mature and emerging markets.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Must have a background in financial services or consulting
  • Must have a high level of analytical and technical skills
  • Well versed with banking systems, concepts and Risk best practices
  • Deep understanding of regulations and standards
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Good written and oral communication.
