The Procurement Senior Manager oversees and leads all procurement activities across various categories within the organization. This role involves strategic planning, vendor management, contract negotiations and ensuring cost effective procurement strategies that support organization objectives.

Responsibilities of Senior Manager Procurement

• Category Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for various categories, aligning them with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
• Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers across multiple categories. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with service-level agreements.
• Cost Optimization: Identify cost saving opportunities while maintaining high quality standards in procurement.
• Monitor market trends and leverage negotiations to achieve favorable pricing and terms across all categories.
• Supply Chain Efficiency: Streamline and optimize supply chains for various categories. Ensure timely delivery and quality control of goods and services.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement risks within different categories. Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
• Cross functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to understand their specific procurement needs and provide strategic support. Ensure alignment between procurement and departmental objectives.
• Budget Management: Manage procurement budget across different categories, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of procurement professionals across multiple categories, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Policy and Compliance: Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and legal regulations across all categories. Stay updated on industry best practices and evolving market trends.

Requirements for Role of Senior Manager Procurement

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 2-4 years of proven experience in procurement with a broad understanding of multiple categories.
