Job Purpose of A Senior Logistic Officer at EDGE Group

Lead and optimize logistics operations to ensure efficient and timely supply chain management, meeting organizational goals and customer expectations.

Job Duties of A Senior Logistics Officer at EDGE Group

• Knowledge of Export and Import process (Clearing port activities).
• Spearhead inventory management.
• Knowledge of excise, finance & custom clearance.
• Knowledge of global logistics in international trade, operations, analysis.
• Develop logistics along with support plans, budget requirements and deployment timelines for new operations.
• Develop logistical plans for current operations and logistics contingency plans.
• Develop and execute tools & methodologies to enable effective implementation of logistic plans.
• Design and develop standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
• Ensure accountable, timely and cost effective release of peacekeeping cargos along with personnel.
• Develop and execute logistics support policy, processes and methodologies to general benefit of all units.
• Develop reports on material and personnel movements and various operational logistics problems.
• Handling orders, making negotiation follow up deliveries, prepare delivery documents.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders for shipment.
• Should have experience working with Shipping and handling formalities.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma in business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering.

Or

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics or supply chain management or relevant field is preferred.
• 5 years of experience in relevant field.

Skills & knowledge Desired

• Understanding and awareness of key logistics management
• Knowledge of inventory management systems
• Planning and organizing skills.
