The role of Senior Lab Technician at ADNOC is to supervise and perform all analytical testing for process streams, sampling, maintenance and HSE related samples according to internationally accepted standard methods for quality assurance. Job ID for this vacancy is 21745.
Duties Of Senior Lab Technician
- Supervise and perform a variety of quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests and analysis including non-routine analysis in accordance with established testing methods and instructions.
- Supervise the sample collection from the plant using international accepted standard sampling procedures.
- Produce precise & reliable data to support research studies.
- Review the sample list and test analytical results in the Laboratory Information System (LIMS) and Business Object reporting software to ensure accuracy.
- Lead the preparation and standardization of chemical reagents used in day to day working of the laboratory tests and on-line analysers.
- Supervise the correct implementation of the sampling procedures and schedules.
- Ensure equipment functions properly and reliable results obtained.
- Follow up laboratory maintenance work and final testing of the repaired equipment to ensure availability.
- Supervise installation, commissioning and calibration activities of new equipment for Site Acceptance.
- Check and carryout out trial runs on newly installed and/or repaired Laboratory apparatus and analyzers.
- Check stocks of chemicals, glassware and spares in the laboratory.
- Advise the Line Manager of potential shortcomings for timely replenishment.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for the role of Senior Lab Technician are as under:
- Degree or Diploma in Chemistry.
- At least 6 years’ experience in petroleum refinery or petrochemical laboratory including familiarity with advanced computerized equipment and LIMS.
