The Supreme Legislation Committee is looking forward to hire a competent Senior Information Security officer for their prestigious company. The role holder will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of an organization information security programs. This is a full time job with multiple learning opportunities.

About the Role

The incumbent will have the following duties:

To develop operational plans and objectives for information security programmes; and execute and monitor them in line with the SLC strategic plans.
To participate in developing the SLC strategic plan related to information security.
To establish, develop, and periodically review a methodology for assessing information security risks.
To develop policies and standards for the information security system and establish the necessary operational procedures and controls based on risk assessment results.
To monitor the compliance of all organisational units within the SLC General Secretariat with information security policies and standards.
To manage information security incidents, coordinate with the concerned entities, and take necessary actions.
To develop information security awareness and training plans for all SLC General Secretariat employees; and implement them periodically in coordination with the concerned entities.
To coordinate with the concerned directorates in the SLC General Secretariat to implement the information security system and operational controls.
To conduct workshops for SLC General Secretariat employees on information security according to the approved plan.
To conduct research and studies on information security and submit them to the immediate supervisor.
To assess employees’ understanding and awareness of the implemented information security system at the General Secretariat through targeted surveys.
To ensure the SLC General Secretariat’s compliance with all local and federal laws related to information security.
To submit regular reports on the progress of information security plans and programmes to the competent authority within the SLC General Secretariat.
