Responsibilities of Senior Financial Analyst

• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct thorough financial analysis to provide insights into the company’s financial performance.
• Prepare and present regular financial reports, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Work closely with department heads to develop and manage annual budgets.
• Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations to ensure financial goals are met.
• Support the forecasting process to provide accurate and timely financial projections
• Business Partnering: Serve as a strategic partner to various business units, understanding their goals and challenges.
• Lead financial reviews with business stakeholders, offering recommendations to enhance financial performance.
• Provide financial guidance to support decision-making processes and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
• Collaborate with operational teams to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
• Financial Modeling:
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business initiatives and investment decisions.
• Conduct scenario analysis to assess potential impacts on financial outcomes.

Requirements for Role of Senior Financial Analyst

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or professional certification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA) is a plus.
• 5+ years experience in finance business partnering roles, preferably within the retail industry.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Familiarity with retail industry dynamics and financial best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial systems. Knowledge of ERP software is desirable.
