Senior Engineer Cost Control ADNOC UAE

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is presently hiring suitable candidate for job role of Senior Engineer Cost Control. The job holder will support Project Control Team for Oil & Gas/ Petrochemicals company for mega technical projects through managing cost controlling for technical projects & its expenditure against the project plan and accomplishments, reviewing and analysing of contractor’s invoices, while timely preparation of cost reports, identifying critical areas and providing trend analysis and early warnings to the project team.

Responsibilities of Senior Engineer Cost Control

• Identify and track all changes to the project scope, ensuring estimates of cost changes and schedule impact are given visibility to the client and project management team early in the process.
• Produce monthly cost reports, track actuals against budgets and forecast through life of the project. 
• Liaise with engineering, procurement and construction functions and others to maintain awareness of project activities and their impact on the project budget and phased cost forecast.
• Measure project progress through earned value management, identify risks and factors likely to impact cost or schedule and propose effective corrective measures.
• Review and analyse Contractors invoices. Ensure Contractors are carrying out the works in accordance with the agreed scope and as per contractual agreement.
• Liaise with all Project Managers on individual packages to prepare detailed staffing plans.
• Review Variation Order Requests initiated by the FEED EPC Contractors, Licensors, Project Management Consultant (PMC) and other contractors to verify validity of Variations and pricing.
• Coordinates with Contracts and Project Services team in the Head Quarter for the verification of cost and any schedule impacts.

Requirements of Senior Engineer Cost Control

• University Degree in Engineering / Project Management
• Minimum of 7-12 years of relevant experience working for EPC / Technical Projects.
• Working experience in Oil and Gas / Petrochemicals is a plus.
• Experience in engineering costing and administration and various aspects of cost control for projects.
• Relevant Professional Certification i.e. AACE, ACOSTE, PMP, CPA is preferred.

Skills Desired

• Excellent communication skills in English written and verbal.
• Computer literate with an excellent skill in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
