Senior Director Finance Jumeirah Group & Corporate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Director of Finance Regional Operations to join  Corporate Finance team in Dubai. The job purpose of the Senior Director of Finance Regional Operations is to oversee the financial performance of a cluster of hotels in Europe and the Middle East. The role is responsible for analysing and recommending financial strategies in the region to improve property financial performance. This position works closely with the regional team and provides recommendations based on analysis and trends of current and future operations, including corporate compliance and governance.

Responsibilities of Senior Director

• Conduct regional team business budget reviews and establish guidelines, plans and targets.
• Evaluate operational decisions with financial outcomes by reviewing investment spending versus the return and projections.
• Evaluate compliance per company finance directives.
• Ensure that the SBUs comply with all company governance requirements and government laws and regulations.
• Actively engages with Owners and Owner’s representatives in the region and discusses all matters related to the business unit.
• Work closely with Owners / Corporate colleagues and hotel teams on preopening budgets and timely delivery of preopening / transition activities
• Monitor preopening activities to ensure that the hotels are opening within budget and have clear visibility of working capital requirements and initial trading performance forecasts.
• Work closely with corporate/regional teams from other functions and provide financial and business advice and recommendations.
• Coordinate with corporate Finance on all finance directives and recommend operations controls where needed.
• Prepare and analyse special purpose reports to outline important financial trends in the areas of income, expense, earnings, and asset controls.
• Support effective financial planning and management to ensure the organization’s financial health and sustainability.

Requirements of Senior Director

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University.
• 8 – 10 years of finance operations experience, preferably with an international luxury hospitality company or a recognized blue-chip organisation.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• A demonstrable track record of delivering results including managing change and delivering on challenging financial matters within a suitable business environment.
• Outstanding inter-personal skills and an ability to connect with people at all levels across all functions to drive successful relationships.
