Senior Clinical Dietitian 2 Dubai Academic Health Corporation

Dubai Academic Health Corporation is actively seeking a Senior Clinical Dietitian 2 to join their dynamic team. The role holder will conduct patient nutrition assessment to determine risks and arrive at nutrition diagnosis to identify the nutrition requirements.

Responsibilities of Clinical Dietitian

• Develop nutrition intervention pian for patients and make recommendations for treatment, which includes diet therapy, education and intervention for high risk/special cases.
• Provide both bedside and outpatient education; and also counsel patients and families on nutrition issues, either individually or in-group.
• Develop and conduct outreach educational programs for health promotion to the general community; with appropriate communication materials like, (pamphlets, handouts, posters, etc).
• Contribute to the development of education programs/workshops and materials or related research, as part of continuing education.
• Monitor implementation of nutrition plans and follow-up in order to assess patient progress and adjust plan as necessary.
• Continue the nutrition care process with follow-up appointment with the patients through OPD — Nutrition Clinics.
• Participate in overall nutrition process as a member of interdisciplinary team, attends patient rounds and team meetings.
• Lead, guide and train staff, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work, may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation.
• Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshop, and professional affiliations.
• Ensure policies and procedures related to nutrition and catering are followed by self and others.
• Undertake responsibilities of a dietitian or any other additional tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor.
• Assist the Head of Section in developing objectives for dietitians and clinical dietitians.
• Contribute to the development and updation of dietetic department evidence based clinical standards/guidelines, policies and procedures for therapeutic diet and service.
• Monitor and audit nutrition care practice in order to increase clinical effectiveness.
• Act as a resource for dietitians and clinical dietitians in the area of nutrition care process.

• Bachelors Degree OR Higher Diploma in nutrition, dietetics, or an equivalent field.
• Non National.
• 5 years experience with Masters Degree in nutrition, dietetics.
• 12 Years experience with Bachelors Degree in nutrition, dietetics.
