Responsibilities

• efficiently processes all customer transactions, including cash, credit card, vouchers, and gift cards, ensuring accuracy and professionalism throughout.
• Mastery of handling various transactions such as bills, foreign exchange currency, cash discounts, vouchers, internal buys, and staff buys is essential to expedite customer service effectively.
• follows correct closing procedures for cash deposits and pickups, promptly reporting any discrepancies to the cash supervisor.
• Engaging with customers, they provide information on products, promotions, offers, and plastic bag resale opportunities at the cash register.
• During checkout downtime, maintain the display of front-end counters to enhance the overall shopping experience.
• Prior to and after each shift, they diligently check the cash register for hygiene standards as outlined in the checklist, ensuring a clean and sanitized work environment.
• Committed to operational excellence, they adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Functional and Technical Competencies: Attend and complete all the Mandatory Trainings Requirements by the Government Authorities and Company Operational Trainings.

Requirements for Role of Senior Checkout Associate

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as a checkout associate or similar position.
