Senior Assembly Technician, National Oilwell Varco (NOV) UAE

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) presently has a job opening for eligible candidate for position of a Senior Assembly Technician (ECEx Certified Electrician) in Dubai, UAE. This job has recently been posted by NOV and is now open for all desirous applicants. 

Job Purpose of An Assembly Technician

• Read and understand hydraulic, and electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Eligible to troubleshoot electrical problems along with the mechanical team.
• Should be able to complete jobs & tasks assigned to him by the supervisor, within the required time frame.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, determine the appropriate assembly tools and technics to be used to complete the job as per the specifications provided in the Work Order package issued.

Duties of An Assembly Technician

• Review and understand the WO for the job assigned.
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.
• Assemble the job as per the specifications provided in the Work Order package issued.
• Update and maintain documents required for relevant work orders.
• Notify supervisor for any mistakes or as built changes required.
• Conduct hydrostatic tests or FAT of completed jobs only if authorized to do, at designated areas.
• Maintain tools and equipment always in a good condition.
• Report to the cell leader immediately any machine problem or accident.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the workshop as per 5S.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.
• Perform any kind of tasks/duties as requested by the cell leader.
• To be available for field service trips if required and for other activities requested by the management.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

• High School Diploma.

Experience

• Min 2 years of experience as an electrical technician.
• Experience in hydraulic tubing/plumbing.

Certification

• IECEx Certified Electrician.
• Technical training Certificate.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Knowledge of assembly technics and tools.
• Able to read and understand electrical schematics/engineering drawings
• Fluent in English (both verbal and written).
• Familiar with NOV K-Winch/WPCE/WHE products.
