Import/Export industry is presently looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within organization. The senior accountant’s responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
Responsibilities of Senior Accountant
- Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
- Preparing financial analyses and reports.
- Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
- Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Ensure timely bank payments.
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
- Audit financial transactions and documents.
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
- Comply with financial policies & regulations.
Requirements of Senior Accountant
The requirements for the job role of Senior Accountant are as following.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- 3+ Years of accounting experience.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
- Experience with general ledger functions.
- Strong attention to detail and good / strong analytical skills.
