The role holder will be responsible to manage or deal with all accounts and financial matters of the company as per rules & regulations. This vacancy was announced by the company on 20 February 2024. Responsibilities
- Extracting monthly and quarterly financial reports from the public accounts system before carrying out the final migration procedures.
- Implementing procedures for reviewing annual financial budget schedules, distributing them to the account items.
- Presenting the budget to senior management for the purposes of discussion and approval.
- Auditing the implementation of procedures for recording and calculating monthly depreciation rates and the expected life of fixed assets.
- Auditing implementation of restrictions procedures for the financial institution’s outgoing & incoming transactions with other departments, institutions and bodies in the Dubai Government.
- Reviewing creditors’ statements and suppliers’ statements of accounts.
- Auditing the implementation of procedures for preparing settlements related to the aging of debts to creditors, advance and due payments, and fines.
- Implementing audit procedures on the accounting entries posted by the organizational units of the Finance Department on a monthly basis.
- Implementing the procedures for recording daily settlements manually to process the settlements received from other divisions and based on the written approval of the head of the relevant division. Auditing customer invoices and account statements in the Revenue Division before starting the collection process.
What you will do more?
- Verifying the entry of revenue entries, adjustments, and posting of their accounts into the approved electronic system on a daily basis.
- Reviewing cash statements in the treasury and banks on a daily basis.
- Implementing monthly and annual financial closing procedures for revenue accounts according to the dates specified by the Department of Finance in the Government of Dubai.
- Auditing the institution’s cash transactions.
- Preparing final accounts at the end of the financial year. Preparing financial restrictions reports periodically and as directed by the direct manager.
- Adhere to the information security system, policies, processes and programs, and report any security breaches or suspicious incidents to the direct official.
- Perform any other tasks related to the work of the division or as directed.
Requirements of Senior Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Three years of experience in the field of accounting.
