Al Tayer Group is currently seeking qualified and devoted candidates for the role of a Senior Accountant in Garhoud, Dubai UAE. The selected aspirant will be responsible to maintain day to day financial control over payment processing.This job has recently been published by Al Tayer Group is currently available to all desirous candidates.
Responsibilities of A Senior Accountant
- Highlight and escalate payment processing exceptions to the Function Head and /or relevant parties as per the escalation matrix.
- Ensure accounting and recording of payments is in line with the Group’s accounting policy.
- Review and approve final payment vouchers prior to release of payment.
- Review payments periodically ans ensure to process them in a timely manner.
- Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information while ensuring accuracy of financial statements to the extent applicable.
- Ensure processing deadlines are met as per the Service Level Agreement.
- Ensure timely update of the Process Tracking Register for payments processed and highlight instances of non-compliance with Service Level Agreement, as deemed appropriate.
- Facilitate Internal and External Auditors to satisfactorily conduct audit of payables and implement action plans agreed from qualitative and quantitative audit feedback.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
- Liaise with Management to improve financial procedures.
- Highlight and escalate payment processing exceptions to the Function Head and /or relevant parties as per the escalation matrix.
- Ensure distribution / proper allocation of work to direct reports and maintain their respective work schedules.
Qualification Requirements for Role of Senior Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
