Responsibilities of Security Guard

Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, unauthorized access, vandalism, or theft
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to ensure the security of the premises
Enforce access control procedures, including verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises
Conduct routine inspections of doors, windows, gates, and other entry points to ensure they are properly secured
Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, and take appropriate action to resolve situations
Maintain accurate logs and reports of security incidents, observations, and activities
Provide assistance and support to clients, employees, and visitors as needed
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders as necessary
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times
Attend training sessions and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements of Security Guard

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid state security guard license or certification
Previous experience of 1-2 years in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred but not required.

Skills and Knowledge desired

Strong observation and surveillance skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
Physical stamina and fitness to perform patrol duties and respond to emergencies
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings
Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and customer service
