Job Description
GMG seeking a dedicated and experienced Section Manager (Butchery & Seafood) in Supermarket/Hypermarket to oversee specific departments in their hypermarket and supermarket locations across the UAE. Candidate will ensure efficient operations, achieve sales targets, and maintain excellent product quality and availability. This role is vital for enhancing the customer shopping experience and ensuring the section’s profitability and success. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 10000-25000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Section Manager
- Manage daily operations of assigned sections, including stock management, merchandising, and display standards.
- Ensure availability of products, maintain inventory levels, and oversee replenishment processes.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the section’s team to achieve sales and performance targets.
- Monitor sales trends and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Maintain high standards of product quality, freshness, and cleanliness within the section.
- Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams for stock sourcing and replenishment.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
- Train and develop staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Prepare and analyze reports on sales performance, stock levels, and other key metrics.
Requirements for Role of Section Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years experience as a Section Manager or similar role in a hypermarket, supermarket, or retail environment.
- Prior experience in the UAE retail sector is preferred.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of retail operations, stock management, and merchandising.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
