Key Responsibilities for Secondary Business Studies Teacher Al Rabeeh Academy Abu Dhabi

The following tasks will be performed by the Business Studies Teacher

• Deliver engaging, well structured Business Studies lessons that meet British curriculum standards up to GCSE and A Level

• Model strong analytical, commercial, and entrepreneurial thinking through creative, real world teaching approaches

• Use a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor, track, and support student progress

• Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental development, and the creation of high quality teaching resources

• Support the academic and pastoral well being of students while promoting school values and high expectations

• Build strong, positive relationships with parents through clear communication about student progress and attainment

• Participate actively in school events, enrichment opportunities, professional development, and whole school initiatives

• Maintain excellent classroom management and follow all safeguarding and health and safety procedures

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject is required. A PGCE or QTS must also be held. Experience teaching the English National Curriculum, preferably in an international setting, is essential. Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student wellbeing are expected. Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills must be demonstrated. A clean criminal background check covering the previous ten years of employment history will be required. An online due diligence search will also be completed.
