Secondary Alternative Pathways Teacher – GEMS Metropole School, Dubai
GEMS Metropole School in Dubai is recruiting a Secondary Alternative Pathways Teacher to support students who benefit from non-traditional academic routes. This role involves developing and delivering tailored learning programmes for students who require alternative approaches to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver alternative curriculum pathways for secondary students
- Provide individualised support for students with varied learning needs
- Develop vocational, life skills and personalised learning programmes
- Collaborate with the inclusion team, pastoral staff and subject teachers
- Monitor and report on student progress through alternative assessment methods
- Build positive relationships with students who may have disengaged from mainstream education
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education or a related field
- PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience working with students who need alternative educational approaches
- Understanding of SEN, behavioural needs and pastoral support strategies
- Creative and flexible approach to curriculum design
Salary and Benefits
- Tax-free salary: AED 12,000 – 18,000 per month
