Responsibilities of School Bus Driver & Bus Attendant
- Bus Driver: Safely operate a school bus along designated routes, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior, including ensuring all safety equipment is in place and functioning properly.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus safely.
- Maintain discipline and order on the bus, enforcing school rules and policies.
- Communicate effectively with school administrators, parents, and transportation department staff.
- Bus Attendant: Assist the bus driver in ensuring the safe boarding and exiting of students from the bus.
- Monitor student behavior during transit, ensuring adherence to safety rules and policies.
- Assist students with special need, including securing mobility devices and providing assistance as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the bus driver and school administrators regarding any issues or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior, including assisting with cleaning and sanitizing as needed.
Requirements of School Bus Driver & Bus Attendant
The requirements for both role are as following:
Bus Driver
- Valid UAE driving license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of previous driving experience.
Bus Attendant
- Physically okay and able to stand for long hours.
- Pervious experience in similar role.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Bus Driver: Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
