Job Description

Abu Dhabi Ports presently has a job opening for an eligible candidate for position of a Schedule Management Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing schedule compliance, control, and performance across the portfolio, providing guidance on extension of time claim assessments, analyzing data for statistical and predictive analytics, implementing process changes, managing risks, delivering reports to senior management, leading training programs, driving continuous improvement, ensuring resource access, providing visionary leadership, coaching and mentoring, and enhancing policies and guidelines while staying updated on digital trends and practices. This role also ensures compliance with CAPEX schedule control governance and fosters a culture of accountability.

Duties of A Schedule Management Manager

  • Monitor compliance of schedule related activities in accordance with ETS governance.
  • Manage schedule control across the entire portfolio.
  • Review schedule duration and float indexes for the portfolio.
  • Assess schedules and duration allowances on projects across the portfolio.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on extension of time claim assessments and liquidated damage application.
  • Retrieve data related to the division and complete statistical, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
  • Implement necessary changes to current processes, procedures, and governance to align with the ETS evolving goals and requirements.
  • Manage portfolio risks and identify opportunities to enhance schedule performance across the portfolio and provide recommendations on control measures.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to senior management on the performance of the portfolio and scheduled programs.
  • Monitor schedule control and performance KPIs across the portfolio and examine any areas of concern or potential areas for improvement.
  • Lead awareness campaigns and training regimes on schedule management governance related issues.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the portfolio teams for all CAPEX schedule control related governance and compliance matters.
  • Drive excellence within the division and lead in continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure that the team has access to the necessary resources, including budget and technology, to support their projects.
  • Provide strong and visionary leadership, supervision, and guidance to the team, setting clear expectations and creating a culture of accountability.
  • Offer coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Identify and manage the creation and enhancement of policies, standards and guidelines on CAPEX projects and programmes and ensuring compliance of implementation.
  • Identify future digital and innovative trends and practices associated with the delivery of the portfolio and implement new technologies and practices.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of Schedule Management Manager are as under:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in delivering engineering and construction projects.
  • Experience working directly in a programme controls environment.
  • Experience in a senior leadership position.
  • Experience in managing large, multi-disciplined project controls teams.

Skills Desired

  • Excellent English.
  • Arabic is an added advantage.
  • Handled cost control of multi project programme in complex environments and stakeholders.
