Madinat Jumeirah Resort is presently hiring suitably qualified and experienced candidate for the job role of Sales Executive. The main purpose of this role is to assists in executing the sales & marketing strategy and plan of action related to Europe Market and ensure all business development activities are fully aligned with Jumeirah’s Brand Standards.

Responsibilities of Sales Executive

  • Produce and implement an account development plan for each managed account to achieve maximum revenue in both short and long term.
  • Assist in the execution of the annual commercial plan of the SBUs within the area of responsibility.
  • Monitor and feedback competitors’ activities and respond to them appropriately.
  • Maintain high profile network across the geographical area given and actively prospect new business opportunities.
  • Continuously source new business through research of media and market intelligence.
  • Attend overseas trade shows, key client events, FAM trips and sales trips as planned and submitted at the beginning of each year.
  • Responsible to continuously secure marketing opportunities to position the brand and drive sales with trade partners.
  • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with GSO’s and SBU’s.
  • Maintain an accurate profile and history of all accounts in Jumeirah Connect Salesforce.
  • Submit all new opportunities for the SBU’s via Jumeirah Connect/Salesforce
  • Ensure to enter new contacts and accounts in JBI as per the Jumeirah Data Entry Standards.
  • Meet a monthly JC target of 50 activities to include the following sub types “i.e. Sales Calls, Entertainment, Telemarketing, Site Inspections.”

Conditions of work

  • Normal administrative hours with normal office working conditions, subject to the terms of individual employment contracts and to the relevant labour law.
  • Expected travel mobility to be regular.

Relationships

  • Internal: SBU General Manager, Director of Revenue Management, Corporate Sales and Marketing Team, Jumeirah Global Sales Offices,SBU Food and Beverage Team, SBU Front Office Team, and SBU Finance Colleagues.
  • External: Key Clients, Peer Hospitality Groups, SBU Guests, and Tourism Authority.

Requirements of Sales Executive

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University.
  • Master’s Degree in Hospitality, Business or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University.
  • At least 2 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably with an international hospitality company or a recognized blue-chip organization.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of French, Italian and German would be an advantage.
  • Excellent sales skills and proven ability to influence clients to lead to higher revenue generations.
  • Creative and innovative approach to sales activities.
  • Excellent selling and negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Strong capability with Jumeirah Connect and JBI, Revenue Management, Windows Suite, Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Strategic thinking.
