An exciting job opportunity has arisen for eligible candidate for position of a Sales Assistant Manager at Zabeel House by Jumeirah The Greens in Dubai. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in leading the SBU’s segmented sales effort for the Leisure and Wholesale segment in a Boutique hotel category. Responsible for increasing preference, loyalty, and profitable share within assigned accounts, develop new leisure and wholesale accounts and contribute to overall Sales Team success through the direct sales efforts of revenue generation and value creation and to execute the overall account strategy for assigned accounts to generate and maximize business.

Duties of A Sales Assistant Manager

  • Ensure comprehensive and complete coverage of portfolio, covering all levels of accounts managerial and departmental executives for a comprehensive client servicing, achieving the set targets and maximum productivity.
  • Managing the Wholesale & Leisure segment within the Sales & Marketing department and working with local and international travel agents/ tour operators, conference-meeting-incentive organizers/DMC for individual and group bookings.
  • Responsible for 100% account penetration by establishing close relationships at all levels within the assigned accounts and new account development.
  • Gains understanding of the location’s primary target customer and service expectations, serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution.
  • Develop leisure accounts and travel within the area to drive business and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams.
  • Negotiate room rates/packages with leisure and wholesale partners.
  • Provide feedback on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation telephone and direct mail in its market areas.
  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).

What You’ll Do More?

  • Using Knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to Maximize Revenue.
  • Understands the overall market – competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
  • Keep fully updated of all related sales data and plan sales activities keeping in mind cost/benefit, cost of sale and ROI analyses.
  • Plan and conduct customer entertainments or outlet experiences across the SBU.
  • Prepare contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions.
  • Implement and execute all sales objectives and action plans to reach and exceed targets set.
  • Establish parameters, quotes and negotiate prices with customers for transient and group business.
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
  • Activities include sales calls, entertainment, Leisure FAM trips, road shows, exhibitions, trade shows, etc.
  • Maintain comprehensive awareness of all SBUs needs (including promotions, offers, USPs, IVTs) market trends, account market share and customer needs.

Requirements for role of A Sales Assistant Manager

The eligibility requirements for role of Sales Assistant Manager are as under:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related major.
  • Minimum 2 years of wholesale & leisure segment experience in a similar position in Dubai.
  • Experience of the local market and a proven track record in the Wholesale & Leisure segment in UAE.
  • Hospitality Leisure sales experience within 5* hotel industry in the UAE.
