Rolling Stock Inspector At Etihad Rail UAE

Etihad Rail is presently hiring suitably qualified & experienced Rolling Stock Inspector to work at Al Faya Depot Abu Dhabi. The selected candidate will be responsible to carry out inspections of vehicles for purpose of ensuring the execution of maintenance/repair work of vehicles as well as assessing quality of maintenance work to ensure the operational readiness of vehicles in line with Etihad rail standards. Job Purpose of A Rolling Stock Inspector At Etihad Rail

• Ensure execution of maintenance activities to the required standard and in line with defined processes and procedures.
• Provide assurance & to minimize likelihood of risks being exported to the operational railway.
• Verify quality of maintenance work by undertaking in process or post maintenance inspections and audits, review of work orders and completion paperwork.
• Assist, support and give guidance to the maintenance staff with regard to safety rules and quality standards.
• In conjunction with the Fleet Reliability Engineer & Manager, evaluate maintenance processes, monitor and interrogate fault and failure data.
• Assist in undertaking root cause analysis and failure investigations. Collation of data and evidence as required for investigations.

Job Duties of A Rolling Stock Inspector At Etihad Rail

• Provide technical support, assistance and guidance to the maintenance teams.
• Perform in process and post work quality checks and audits of vehicles.
• Provide confirmation of vehicles readiness for operation after major repair & overhaul.
• Assist in the investigation of defects and faults.
• Carry out special checks and assist in carrying out modifications and vehicle audits.
• Design, implement and maintain safe and secure working condition (safety equipment and safe state of all working materials).
• Provide input to the SAP system where required.
• Ensure the necessary data is available in the SAP system to ensure KPI’s and RAMS reporting are accurate.
• Collect and report against agreed KPIs on the maintenance activity.
• Support the Senior Reliability Engineers during technical investigation & compilation of technical and performance reports.
• Provide performance/status reports as required clearly identifying new risk areas.
• Attend satellite locations to assist in the recovery of Rolling Stock and equipment.
• Remain available on call for any necessary guidance or task.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma in related mechanical or electrical field.

Or

• Mechanical or electrical Engineering degree (Preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in rolling stock (locomotive and wagons) maintenance.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Very good planning skills.
• Ability to work in a team & on an individual basis.
• Good communication skills.
• English as first language or advanced level of written and verbal skill.
• Skilled worker with long term railway experience covering locomotives & wagons.
