Rolling Stock Inspector Etihad Rail Abu Dhabi

Rolling Stock Inspector will be responsible for ensuring execution of maintenance activities are carried out to the required standard and in compliance defined instructions, processes and procedures. This is applicable to both in-house or contracted maintenance. Primary objective being to provide assurance and to minimize likelihood of risks being exported to the operational railway.Verifying quality of maintenance work by undertaking in-process and/or post maintenance inspections and audits, review of work orders and completion paperwork.

Responsibilities

Following are the key responsibilities of Rolling Stock Inspector:-

• Assist, support and give guidance to the maintenance staff with regard to safety rules and quality standards.
• In conjunction with the Fleet Reliability Engineer and Manager, evaluate maintenance processes, monitor and interrogate fault and failure data.
• Assist in undertaking root cause analysis and failure investigations. Collation of data and evidence as required for investigations.
• Provide technical support, assistance and guidance to the maintenance teams.
• Perform in process and finished work quality checks and audits and providing confirmation of vehicles readiness for operation after major repairs and overhaul.
• Assist in the investigation of defects and faults.
• Assist the supervisory staff of fleet as required.

• Assist in the execution of the warranty process.
• Carry out special checks and assist in carrying out modifications and vehicle audits.
• Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance staff.
• Design, implement and maintain safe and secure working condition (safety equipment and safe state of all working materials).
• Provide input to the SAP system where required.
• Ensure the necessary data is available in the SAP system to ensure KPI’s and RAMS reporting are accurate.
• Collect and report against agreed KPIs on the maintenance activity.
• Support the Senior Reliability Engineers during technical investigations and compilation of technical and performance reports.
• In liaison with the Senior Reliability Engineer and with cognisance of the Continuous improvement culture, identify and report on areas for improvement and risk of performance degradation.
• Provide performance/status reports as required clearly identifying new risk areas.
• Attend satellite locations to assist in the recovery of Rolling Stock and equipment.
•  Available for on-call responsibilities responsible for your own, and others safety.

Requirements of Rolling Stock Inspector

Academic Qualifications:

• Degree, Diploma, Certificate or Engineering qualification in relevant engineering specialism, or significant operational experience. 

Professional Qualifications:

• Apprentice trained and/or relevant engineering qualifications.
• Full driving license.

Experience:

• Rolling Stock (locomotive and wagons) maintenance.
• 3-5 years of experience in quality management, RAMS and asset management systems.

Skills and Abilities Desired
