Job Description

Reward and Policy Officer provide internal advice and assistance on the development and maintenance of international pay scales and reward packages. To ensure compliant benefits, entitlements and conditions of employment in line with industrial instruments and international labour law requirements. Support in the ongoing administration and maintenance of employment contracts and employee handbooks in the UAE and internationally.

Accountabilities of Reward and Policy Officer

  • Act as main contact for first level queries for global and UAE HR policies, international employment contracts and country-specific compensation and benefit queries.
  • Resolve issues following engagement with Senior Manager Total Reward and Policies, Legal and other HR stakeholders.
  • Conduct policies and benefits benchmarking and analysis across different countries as and when required and using various data sources.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for senior management.
  • Support development and updating of country Pay and Benefits Manuals and employee handbooks, where required, ensuring alignment with company policies, legislative requirements and industry best practices.
  • Ensure Global Territory Pay & Benefits Manual compliance by working closely with regional HR, Payroll, Insurance, Legal and Finance.
  • Conducts audit at least once annually to minimise business risks.
  • Provide initial employment contract template for start-up stations, liaising with legal and local entities in the outstation to develop fit-for-purpose contract templates.
  • Act as a Reward and Policy representative in start-up station meetings.
  • Support various reward projects and day-to-day activities such as survey inputs, data analysis, review of collective labour agreement pay elements, etc.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s level education in a Business or Human Resource discipline with a good background in employment laws preferred
  • Experience in compensation, benefits and international policies and labour law requirements gained over a period of at least 4-5 years.
  • At least two years related working experience for a Company with an international network.
