Job Description
Sofitel Hotel and Resort is looking to hire suitably skilled and devoted candidate for role of Revenue Manager. This vacancy was announced by the hotel on December 27, 2023. Candidates desirous for this role should submit their resume to begin with the application process.
Responsibilities of Revenue Manager
- Monitor competitor strategies. Analyse market place dynamics and build an effective action plan.
- Train and Guide Reservations/Front Desk/Conference & Event Sales teams to achieve Revenue Optimisation.
- Optimise demand from all revenue streams in the hotel including F&B and maximize the hotel revenue thought the analysis of financial data in accordance with hotel strategies, brand’s policy and customer’s needs.
- Responsibility for competitor analysis and environmental scanning.
- Distribution yield management Inventory availability by channel; pricing control, new pricing concepts.
- Initiate short and long term revenue forecasts, identify areas of opportunity and strategies to improve revenue and overall profitability
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports with pick up and chairs revenue meeting.
- With your sales awareness, you will build an effective relations with Leisure/M&E sales teams.
- Create budget by by Market Segmentation with the sales and marketing team.
- Implementation, forecasting and planning developing of future strategies.
- Support of operation in defining the revenue strategy of the hotel, analyses the revenue and the performance of the hotel.
- Work closely with marketing for the management of online reputation including but not limited to web content update, third party websites and other online platforms.
Requirements of Revenue Manager
The requirements of Revenue Manager are as under:
- Bachelor’s Degree in hotel management or related field.
- Min. 3 years of experience in hospitality sector in the department of reservations, sales or revenue.
- Experience using Revenue Management Systems preferred (IDEAS).
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills. Confidence in dealing with senior stakeholders.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills.
- Good statistical analysis skills.
- Sales awareness and ability to build collaborative relationships between the Leisure/M&E sales teams).
- Strong understanding of Yield Management.
- Practical knowledge of distribution channels, must display strong analytical, organizational and administrative skills to be able to deal with multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong Computer skills including Microsoft Suite and Opera mandatory.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proactive and result oriented approach.
