Job Description

Revenue Coordinator at Grand Hyatt Dubai is responsible to analyze, strategize, and optimize revenue streams across various departments at Grand Hyatt Dubai, ensuring maximum profitability and sustainable growth. This is a full time role and it was announced by the hotel on 6 February 2024.

Responsibilities of Revenue Coordinator

  • Prepare weekly and monthly rooms occupancy and average rate forecast through the use of Business Intelligence and Revenue Management applications (PRIO).
  • To ensure optimal inventory controls are in place for FIT / Group and for the hotel as a whole.
  • To monitor and constantly adapt pricing tactics in the context of competitor strategies and market fluctuations.
  • To ensure the inventory distribution through all channels is in line with Hyatt’s distribution strategy and closely monitor business shifts between channels (Channel Management).
  • To manage the 3rd party retail channels of distribution and ensure optimal presence on their sites.
  • Liaise with 3rd party online vendors on a regular basis to ensure the rate parity score of 80.
  • Liaise with Marketing Communications Manager/ other designated channels in ensuring room rate and special offers information on the Hyatt.com is updated.
  • Monitor and provide feedback on the hotel’s effective use of Hyatt systems, tools and procedures in areas of business intelligence, revenue management, inventory management and dynamic pricing to maximize Hyatt’s competitive advantage in the marketplace.
  • Provide the hotel Marketing Team with business intelligence based on Cognos data mining solutions and secondary resources (PMS reports).
  • To provide the hotel team with external market intelligence using tools such as Competitive Intelligence, Rate View, Future Pace, and Internet web sites and other corporate resources.
  • To conduct regular training to Front Office, Sales and Marketing, Reservations on the definition of the marketing standard codes i.e. Purpose of Visit, Rate Markets / Segmentation etc and their importance in marketing analysis.

Additional Responsibilities of Revenue Coordinator

  • To prepare all required reports and revenue meeting slides.
  • Assist with reporting for monthly and weekly reforecasting.
  • Follow & encourage the People Philosophy, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and Culture Characteristics.
  • Adhere to employee rules and regulations and policies and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety, and security, as well as grooming and personal appearance.
  • Be familiar with technical set up of local Cognos solution, general dataflow, database structure & monthly extract procedure.
  • To be familiar with the escalation procedure in case of support issues with the local Cognos solution.
  • Stay familier with the technical set up and usages for all tools including revenue management system (where available)
  • Attend training sessions and meetings as and when required.
  • Esure the Hotel Leadership Team takes advantage of the Revenue Management Councils of Expert.
  • Ensure relevant Revenue Management Material available on Hyatt Connect is available to all relevant associates of hotel.

Requirements of Revenue Coordinator

  • Ideally with a university degree in Strategic Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism management.
  • 2-4 years of previous work experience as a Revenue Coordinator would be advantageous.

Skills Desired

  • Strategic orientation as well as good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
