Responsibilities of Retail Products & Propositions Head

  • Responsible for P&L of Liabilities and Assets products.
  • Manage all aspects of all Retail Asset & Liability products, including launch, refresh, pricing, risk monitoring, process and procedure design, staff training and oversight of customer communications.
  • Manage all retail propositions including loyalty (Invest Bank Rewards) and other propositions.
  • Design and execute strategies to acquire and retain high quality low risk consumer assets and proactively manage or exit high risk, low quality borrowers based on customer behaviour and risk analytics.
  • Lead initiatives with Credit and Operational Risk, Compliance, Legal, IT, Marketing and Retail Distribution to design processes to onboard new-to-bank salary transfer and loan buy out customers.
  • Key business liaison with Risk, Treasury and Senior Management.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from all stakeholders and internal partners
  • Create, review and govern customer prepositions (eg. middle market, mass market) to align opportunities with bank objectives work with the business generation teams.
  • Align products with customer value propositions, delivery model, and sales campaigns.
  • Facilitate cross sell opportunities to maximize customer value
  • Display Invest Bank values of integrity, customer focus, competence, consistency and courteousness.
  • Timely reporting to concerned parties on all Operational Risk, Fraud and AML issues.
  • Risk Management obligation is the systematic application of management policies, procedures and practices to the tasks of identifying, analyzing, evaluating, treating and monitoring risk. This helps to mitigate risk to acceptable levels of management.

What You’ll Do More

  • Ensure Products team is meeting needs of all segments for liabilities and assets products managed by the team.
  • Establish deposit-lending parameters, validate existing parameters and increasingly identify micro sub-segments of borrower, employer and geographical risk and opportunities on the portfolio.
  • Flag, track and measure the effect of policy/proposition changes, and analyze and react to changes in the behaviour of the various segments and sub-segments of the portfolio.
  • Actively collaborate with partners in ratifying the portfolio strategy with respect to opportunity and threat, risk and reward and portfolio mix based on portfolio/segment/sub-segment performance as well as economic/market/business and competitive intelligence to profitably grow the portfolio.
  • Establish processes to ensure robust workflow and simultaneously build checks balances for fraud prevention and operational risk management.
  • Ensure an acceptable portfolio quality and consumer examination rating.
  • Ensure management and monitoring of retail propositions.
  • Define product continuum, features and bundles, based on input from channels
  • Defines pricing rules and levels.
  • Design customer targets and advertising campaigns, based on input from customer insight and analytics team in response to request.
  • Ensures delivery channels are trained and equipped for the product delivery as per customer segment.
  • Designs special offers for target customers and companies.
  • Work closely with partners and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of products to the customers.
  • Work of process improvements and enhancements along with IT, Operations, Risk Management and Project Management teams.
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap.
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.

Requirements of Retail Products & Propositions Head

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, e-Commerce, or related disciplines.
  • 15 years + of experience in customer requirements in general banking segments.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Knowledge of Retail Assets, Liability and Card Products.
  • Knowledge of propositions and loyalty programs.
