Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is presently accepting applications from suitable candidate for the job role of Residences Bell Attendant. The job holder will be responsible to assist residents with luggage, deliveries, transportation, and provides general guest service and support in a residential hospitality environment.

Responsibilities Of Residences Bell Attendant

  • Maintains proper records of deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Handles all homeowner interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves complaints, assists homeowners in all enquiries in connection with services, hours of operations, key personnel, directions, etc.
  • Performs errands for homeowners that may require local travel off the property.
  • Receives In-Residence Dining orders and delivers them in a timely manner.
  • To log and complete all paperwork as required.
  • To be fully familiar with all Residence services and amenities.
  • To ensure correct procedures are followed at all times.
  • To ensure storage area and public areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each shift.
  • The ability to clean bell carts.
  • To welcome homeowners and their guests and direct them to the various facilities in the building. Do so in an attentive, friendly and welcoming manner. Be aware of the situation around you and where possible pre-empt guest needs.
  • To keep the lobby in a clean and tidy state at all times – including sofas, tables and stocking writing paper, envelopes, message slips and brochures.
  • To deliver messages, faxes and luggage to residences promptly.
  • To collect and deliver messages, parcels etc., outside the building if required.

What You’ll Do More?

  • To offer assistance to homeowners with parcels and other deliveries.
  • To assist the Residential Security and Residential Attendants when required.
  • To assist the Concierge when needed during busy periods and when required.
  • To fulfil the role of Valet Parking/Driver to Four Season’s standards, as required and drive cars in a safe and responsible manner. Ensure cars are secure and complete the necessary paperwork.
  • To carry out miscellaneous duties as directed by members of Management.
  • The ability to use IT systems in order to perform his own duties and assist homeowners on basic functionality.
  • To report to Security anything or anyone suspicious.
  • The ability to handle homeowner’s concerns and comments and find a proper resolution to ensure satisfaction.
  • The ability to regularly inform and record homeowner preferences.
  • Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and professional presentation of all areas.
  • Ability to read memos, communication log and safety rules.
  • Ability to use telephone procedures as dictated by Four Seasons standards.
  • The ability to communicate on all levels with staff, colleagues and management.
  • The ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • To have a good knowledge of the beverages served in Common Areas.
  • To be responsible for the prompt and efficient service of food and beverage to the homeowner’s residences, Cinema, Spa, and other areas as necessary.
  • To accept, prepare and serve all orders and complimentary amenities.
  • To assist in other Food and Beverage areas when requested to do so.
  • To ensure a safe workplace by identifying hazards and taking corrective action.
  • To clean in and around the Lobby area as required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists Residence Concierge with responsibilities and duties in their absence or due to heavy volume periods.
  • The ability to participate in regular staff meetings to keep employees informed of hotel policies and changes as well as ways to increase sales and service.
  • To have a good knowledge of the beverages served in Common Areas.
  • To assist homeowners and colleagues during a Fire or Emergency Evacuation.
  • The ability to work shifts that are flexible as well as working overnight.
  • To undertake other duties and responsibilities which, while outside the normal routine, are within the overall scope of my job.
  • To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform/attire and name badge.  To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the Residences and department personal appearance standards.
  • To ensure I have read the employee guide and have an understanding of and adhere to the Residences’ rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
  • To undertake other duties and responsibilities which, while outside the normal routine, are within the overall scope of my job.
  • To comply with local legislation as required.
  • To maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments through working by The Golden Rule.
  • To respond to any changes in the Residences as dictated by the needs of the industry or company.
  • To attend training and meetings as and when required.

Requirements Of Residences Bell Attendant

  • Secondary Education.
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a 4 or 5-star hotel setting.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of homeowner information and designated data.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal; an additional language an asset.
  • Ability to use variety of software.
