Khalifa University is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to work on a KU funded project for developing a new type of energy storage device. The aim of the project is to develop a new concept of high energy density storage and fast charging devices. The project will investigate different structures, 2D nanomaterials, and designs to optimize the energy storage density and charging speed. The physical model will be developed and the operation mechanism will be established. Then the energy storage device will be tested for reliable applications in other electronics.

Responsibilities of Research Scientist

  • Help the principal investigator conduct research on the solution of small scale data problem in medical data and images by establishing transfer learning models and fractal growth.

  • Have sufficient fractal theory of analysis the multiple scale medical images by combining machine learning, drive the development of new algorithms, and improve the research of fusing multiple scale medical images.

  • Optimize the deep learning by introducing fractal parameter to deep learning models, enhance the accuracy of machine learning models, achieve more accurate medical data and image analysis.

  • Have the professional knowledge of fractal theory, understand the role of fractal in capturing self similarity and multi scale structure in images, with relevant research experience is preferred.

  • Contribute to writing grant proposals, drafting papers, and attending conferences.

  • Supervise graduate students and other junior team members, while training new team personnel on analysis medical image using fractal theory.

Job Requirements

The requirements for the job role of Research Scientist are as under:
