About the Role
The Research Nurse Coordinator at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is responsible for ensuring adherence to all research programs and studies. Furthermore, this role involves coordinating compliance implementation and conduct of human subjects research projects. Moreover, the position carries out nursing responsibilities related to research while assisting with study design and protocol development, as well as grant proposal writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate implementation and conduct of research projects to ensure adherence to protocol requirements
- Serve as primary liaison between investigators, research personnel, and research administration office
- Direct, coordinate, and participate in evaluation and supervision of nursing care for research subjects
- Assess research subjects, complete nursing assessments, and document findings in research records
- Establish care plans in collaboration with research subjects, families, and research teams
- Perform nursing procedures and treatments as directed by physician in patient care management
- Develop and maintain knowledge of research protocols for comprehensive execution
- Conduct and document informed consent processes
- Assist PI with research study design and development of research protocols
- Assist with preparation for audits and response to audit findings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent home country license required
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) must be presented upon hire
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience required
- Clinical research experience is required
- Proficiency in use of PCs, spreadsheets, and software applications
- Demonstrated ability in managing databases, developing reports, and data analysis
- Strong oral and written communication skills
