KU is currently seeking suitable candidate for position o Research Assistant Aerospace Department to work on developing and maturing a novel VTOL RC aircraft concept. Research activities include simulation, modeling, and optimization followed by building a simplified prototype and extensive experimental testing. Responsibilities of Research Assistant Aerospace Department

• Develop a novel, small VTOL RC aircraft capable of achieving high level maneuverability at low and high speeds suitable for close air support missions.
• Develop the propulsion system of the aircraft.
• Evaluate the performance, stability, and control of the aircraft in different flight scenarios.
• Conduct comprehensive propulsion system, structural, and flight testing.
• Adhere to the University’s information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Job Requirements

The requirements for the job role of Research Assistants Aerospace Department are as under:

• PhD in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of research experience in a relevant field, ideally gained through undergraduate research projects, internships, or postgraduate research assistantships.
