Job Description
NMC Healthcare presently has a job opening for suitably qualified and experienced candidate for position of a Registered Nurse in Medical & Surgical Ward at NMC Specialty Hospital, Dubai, UAE. This is an Intermediate level full time role. For this position salary ranges from 5000-10000 AED, which may be slightly negotiable during the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Assess, Plan, implement and evaluates care given to assigned patients in an effective and organized manner.
- Provides for the physical, psychological and social needs of the patient and families.
- Complies with established Nursing Department Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain and update all relevant patient documentations/medical records as per hospital policy and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient’s records.
- Administer drugs/medications as per doctor’s orders. Report adverse reactions to medications immediately as per hospital policy
- Participates in the rehabilitation and discharge planning of patients/families.
- Follows the reporting mechanisms/chain of command in the Nursing Department. Ensuring patient care issues are correctly and quickly reported.
- Takes responsibility for professional clinical practice and is actively involved in updating and continuing education.
- Attends and participates in Ward/Unit meetings.
- Participates in performance improvement activities within nursing department.
- Competent to demonstrate cardio-pulmonary resuscitation technique.
- Monitor hospital environment for compliance with Infection Control policy and Procedure.
- Maintain hand hygiene and infection control documents.
- Demonstrate awareness of fire/equipment hazards and the necessary precautions to be activated as per hospital policy.
- Maintain all documents of MSDS , HAZMAT in coordination with FMS Team.
- Responsible for daily checking of crash carts and emergency equipment’s as per hospital policy.
- Adherent the practice of Prescriptions Order Review.
- Competent in handling patient with various medical and surgical problems.
- Competent in monitoring and handling the patient with blood transfusion.
- Follow the protocol of handover communication during shift change, shifting the patient to other department and diagnostic procedure.
- Maintain the cleanliness of department following infection control protocols.
- Make sure the patient and families are involved in Health Education.
- Follow the protocol of patient identification while administering medication , blood transfusion , procedure etc.
- To follow appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations & Joint Commission International norms while treating or managing patients as well as while discharging their professional duties.
Requirements for Role of Registered Nurse
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Currently licensed in country of origin and with DHA license to practice in Dubai UAE.
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience after qualification.
- BLS provider.
