About the Role

The Registered Nurse ICU will deliver specialized critical care nursing to patients in the Intensive Care Unit at Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital. Furthermore, this role requires advanced clinical skills to manage patients with complex medical conditions requiring continuous monitoring and life-sustaining interventions. Moreover, the successful candidate will collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary critical care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position is based at the Zayed Sports City campus in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess critically ill patients using advanced hemodynamic and respiratory monitoring equipment
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for ICU patients
• Manage mechanical ventilation, vasoactive medications, and other critical care interventions
• Coordinate with physicians and specialists during emergency resuscitation and rapid response situations
• Support patients and families by providing education on treatment plans and expected outcomes
• Lead bedside handover processes to ensure continuity and safety of patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within the ICU
• Promote infection control practices and ensure compliance with hospital safety standards
• Participate in ongoing professional development, certifications, and departmental training programs

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification
• Valid nursing license recognized by the Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DOH)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in intensive care or critical care nursing
• BLS, ACLS, and preferably CCRN certification
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
• Experience working in a JCI-accredited or equivalent healthcare facility preferred
