Honeywell is presently hiring suitably qualified and experienced candidate for job role of Regional General Manager.  The selected candidate will be responsible for the Projects P&L in the META Region that results through Orders, Sales, and Project delivery to achieve AOP targets, will use all available levers to ensure that Projects Business continues to grow through a talented, motivated, and accountable team and will deliver results through functional excellence, capability development, process standardization and project management discipline necessary to the deliver the Projects P&L on time and at planned gross margins or higher for the HBS business.

Duties of Regional General Manager

  • Define and clearly articulate a business growth plan and drive the growth strategy for the business ensuring sales and profit objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Establish an annual business plan and ensure business execution to meet or exceed annual revenue and operating income targets.
  • Full ownership for Projects P&L performance.
  • Monitor monthly financial performance, incl. orders/pipeline reviews and estimates versus actuals reviews to continuously improve the Projects operational metrics.
  • Drive Orders Growth across all the Sub-Regions in the Projects Business by closely working with the Sales and P&E Teams.
  • Drive Projects performance across business in close partnership with Functional Leaders.
  • Accountable from orders to cash, incl Orders, Revenue & OI metrics for the Projects business including project estimation, execution, and risk management.
  • Ensure delivery of projects on time, within scope and with zero or positive deviation.
  • Leverage best-practice projects processes and pro-actively utilize outcome driven analytics to optimize resource deployment.
  • Ensure Projects & Sales are resourced properly across the region, developing effective partnerships with GBO to ensure an adequate pool of resources is available.

What You’ll Do More?

  • Drive cost control and maximize productivity through the implementation of effective methods and standard processes/tools and engagement of the Supply Chain team.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction at targeted levels and promptly resolves customer issues.
  • Provide functional expertise through teams’ participation in the estimate and risk review process prior to jobs or contracts being quoted to ensure estimates are correct and that the work is achievable from a technical perspective.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the HBS Service leadership to ensure close collaboration enabling effective project to service handovers, optimized utilization of resources, and maximize pull through of service and projects.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment through effective communication, training, equipment/vehicle maintenance and facilities improvement.
  • Maximize GES, GBO for all No customer facing tasks.
  • Collaborate with HBT peers in service and product to maximize Wall to wall margin through first party pull through, software and service tail.
  • Own Projects working capital and drive Past Due reduction and timely collection.
  • Lead talent Management Resource Review (MRR) process, performance management processes, and Projects talent development or recruitment.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a Regional General Manager are as under:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology or any other related field.
  • Minimum of 15+ years’ experience with thorough knowledge of General Management accountabilities.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in people management.
  • Experience working in a multi-national, matrixed organization.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Business fluent in spoken and written English, Arabic language.
  • Strong understanding of business financials.
  • Ability to understand financial data at contract level and identify appropriate actions indicated by variances to ensure key metrics are achieved.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, and oriented toward achieving objectives.
  • The ability to understand the implications and assess the appropriate degree of acceptable risk and take actions to minimize risk.
  • The ability to obtain relevant information on operational issues from multiple sources, think broadly about those issues and recognize trends/possible cause-effect relationships and share insights globally.
  • Thorough knowledge of Projects delivery and financial processes.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, and oriented toward achieving objectives.
