Job Description

Looking to bring a receptionist on board who can handle front desk duties at ALEC’s Dubai office. It’s a full-time job, on-site, and needs someone who’s well-spoken, organized, and knows how to keep things moving without much hand-holding. You’d be the first face people see when they walk in, so being approachable matters. You’ll take calls, manage bookings, keep the area tidy, and lend a hand with small office tasks. Microsoft Office? That’s good to have. Past experience as a receptionist or admin helps, but it’s not required if you’re sharp and learn fast. If you’re already in the UAE and can join without a long notice period, that’s a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and make them feel welcome.
  • Take and route calls properly.
  • Keep the reception space neat.
  • Help book meeting rooms and log visitors.
  • Handle packages, mail, and basic errands.
  • Support admin tasks as needed.
  • Deal with office supplies reordering, organizing, etc.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

No degree required, but admin or customer service background is useful.

Experience

1–2 years in a similar front desk role is ideal. If you’ve done admin or office support work, that counts.

Skills

  • Good with people friendly but professional.
  • Knows how to stay calm when it gets busy.
  • Decent at juggling tasks.
  • Organized and reliable.
  • Can use Outlook, Word, Excel the usual stuff.
  • Understands when to speak up and when to just get it done.

Knowledge

  • Basic office routines.
  • How to manage visitors.
  • Phone/email etiquette.
  • Calendar or room booking tools.
  • Handling deliveries.
  • Keeping things running smoothly when others are busy.
