Receiving & Store Clerk at Novotel Abu Dhabi Al Bustan Accor is responsible to manage the receiving and storage of goods, maintain accurate records, and ensure proper handling and storage of items according to hotel standards.

Responsibilities of Receiving & Store Clerk

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
  • Ensure that any goods coming into the hotel are properly ordered and in an acceptable condition.
  • Ensure that the procedure is in compliance with applicable Hotel’s policy.
  • To discharge the duties in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Receive goods from Supplier with the proper and complete documentation.
  • Verify the number of items or the weight by physical check.
  • Examine both quality and quantity of goods received.
  • Ensure that goods are promptly move to store or concerned department.
  • Ensure that outgoing goods are properly documented and accounted for.
  • Be responsible for all documentation (in FMC) such as the Receiving Record, Receiving Report and the Daily Summary Receiving Report.
  • Recognize the name, trade, brand, categories, article, item etc.
  • Ensure HACCP & ISO, & ADTA standards are maintained and required documentation are fully complied with.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing department in keeping contact with suppliers regarding to the quality and quantity of goods purchased.
  • Join the training program for staff in the area of receiving management.
  • Maintain a good relationship with suppliers and other departments.
  • Be ready and responsible when assigned to perform any other duties as designated by higher management.
  • Keep the receiving area clean.
  • Contact the security in any case of doubt concerning the contents of the delivery.
  • Help the kitchen associate in case of large volume of delivery.
  • React in line with the procedures, in case of wrong delivery.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements of Receiving & Store Clerk

  • At least high school diploma in the relevant field.
  • 1 to 2 years of Relevant experience.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible & reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
