Job Description
GMG is looking for an experienced Receiving Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of the receiving operations in their hypermarkets and supermarkets in the UAE. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate inventory handling, maintain compliance with company standards, and drive efficiency within the receiving department. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 15000-30000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Receiving Manager
- Manage and supervise the receiving operations, including incoming goods inspection, unloading, and storage.
- Ensure all shipments are received and documented accurately in the inventory management system.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and local regulations, including food safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers and delivery teams to resolve discrepancies or issues with shipments.
- Oversee proper labeling, storage, and rotation of inventory to minimize shrinkage and waste.
- Collaborate with the inventory and purchasing teams to optimize stock levels and replenishment schedules.
- Lead a team of receiving staff by providing training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular audits of received goods and maintain detailed records for reporting purposes.
- Ensure workplace safety and cleanliness within the receiving area.
Requirements for Role of Receiving Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in receiving operations, preferably in the hypermarket or supermarket sector.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Familiarity with UAE food safety and quality standards (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams and suppliers.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
