Job Description

A Radiology Technician at Dubai Academic Health Corporation (Latifa Hospital) carries out a range of diagnostic imaging examinations according to the Department’s duty list. The incumbent produces good quality diagnostic radiographs with maximum radiation safety measures. This job opening was announced by the company on March 4, 2024 with the reference number 24000429.

Duties as Radiology Technician

  • Protect the patients, patient relatives and staff from unnecessary radiation.
  • Undertakes training in procedures as required and pursues ongoing continuing education.
  • Entirely responsible for correct identification of patient before proceeding with examination.
  • Inspects all equipment under her/h is control on regular daily basis ensuring that they are used according to the manufacturers’ instructions and kept clean at all times.
  • Must be aware of all aspect of using CR & PACS.
  • Assists the Radiologist in special procedures.
  • Respects and maintains the confidentiality of patients records releasing information only to the referring physician.
  • If assigned to USS Section, performs the obstetric ultrasound as per the protocol agreed upon and ensure that the Doctor sees all abnormal scans.
  • Keeps the ultrasound equipment clean and use it according to manufacturers ‘ specifications.
  • Observes all health and safety policy and procedures pertaining to the department.
  • Performs other duties as maybe assigned by the supervisor.

Education & Experience

Following is the selection criteria for the role of Radiology Technician at Dubai Academic Health Corporation:

  • Bachelor degree/higher diploma in Radiography from a recognized university.
  • 2-3 years of experience.
