Charterhouse is currently working with a global investment management company who is looking to hire a Quant Developer-Back End to join their global technology team.

Responsibilities of Quant Developer Back End

• Great opportunity to join a growing global financial services firm that has a talented technology division.
• This role sits within the front office, working closely with the trading desk and portfolio managers.
• The Quant Developer will have multiple responsibilities including API Development, Systems Development (trading), DevOps setup & Infrastructure setup.
• The team has a focus on performance optimization, continuous improvement and collaboration.
• This role will work closely with the portfolio managers to make sure the data is correct for the trading team ensuring they have the information to make decisions in a timely manner.
• In addition, this role will be a senior member of the team and will be looked upon to mentor and coach more junior developers.

Requirements of Quant Developer Back End

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 6+ years’ experience working as a Backend Developer with a strong focus in Python.
• The ideal candidate will have previous experience with API Development.

Skills and Abilities Desired

• Understanding of administration tasks including server setup, deployment and maintenance.
• Understanding a macro trading, financial or related environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English are essential for this position.
