Purpose of A Business Process Quality Engineer

• Responsible for unitization of pump packages and includes functions of proposals, project management, procurement, engineering & fabrication.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by getting the facility accredited to ISO 9001 standards.
• Monitor metrics and procedures for each functional area with a focus on linkage to customer satisfaction.
• Help create competency and training programs and work on continuous improvement projects in areas where gaps are identified.

Your Job Duties As A Business Process Quality Engineer At National Oilwell Varco Dubai (UAE)

• Provide leader ship at the site level to establish a quality management system and drive continuous improvement.
• Drive a culture of quality ‘ownership’ in the organization.
• Manage implementation of corporate procedures, training and assistance on quality management system related issues.
• Internal audits & assistance in maintenance and implementation of API Q1 and ISO 9001 certifications.
• Establish KPI’s for overall business and individual departments in the business which are tied to revenue and profitability.
• Set targets, measure & drive improvement of those KPI’s.
• Establish procedures which support business goals of the facility as a whole and individual departments or functions.
• Establish competency & training programs and metrics in concert with managers for personnel to achieve business & quality goals.
• Perform management reviews.
• Strive for improvement in all areas of quality management, assurance and control.
• Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV company and HSE policy and procedures.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or Industrial Engineering .

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality engineering related role.
• Experience in managing at least one quality management system (ISO 9001, API Q1 etc).

Certification

• ASQ / CQI / equivalent certification.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Knowledge of API or ASME codes.
• Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (pumps, valves), materials and welding.
• Knowledge of machining & manufacturing techniques (fabrication, welding etc).
• Knowledge of ERP and industry standard quality data base systems.
