Job Description
Quality Control Manager in (Meat Processing Unit) at GMG maintain food safety, product quality, and factory hygiene in accordance with company standards. Implement and ensure compliance with government directives, regulations, and policies. Lead and manage a fast-paced QA/QC department, maintaining a documented quality assurance program. Provide training, motivation, and recognition to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Follows all health and safety, local and international regulatory, HACCP, ISO, FSMS, BRC and GMP standards and enforces the use PPE’s. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 10000-25000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Quality Control Manager
- Carry out QA policies, procedures, and directives in the development of and compliance with company, customer, and government expectations while providing feedback and required follow up to ensure proper corrective action.
- Guide the plant’s FSMS certification program.
- Perform internal, external, suppliers, co-packers, FSMS and other relevant audits.
- Develop and maintain HACCP plan and train plant personnel on quality programs.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance programs for factory and warehouses such as Pest Control, Self-Inspection, Supplier Management, Safety, Microbiology Testing and Defense.
- Conduct pre-shipment review, CCP’s, validation studies, report on deficiencies for GMP’s, HACCP and SSOP’s
- Perform microbiological tests on RM, semi-finished and finished products, environmental and direct food contact surfaces.
- Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department.
- Direct inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
- Investigate and responds to Customer complaints. Implement changes (if necessary) and write corrective actions for complaints.
- Work with Plant manager to ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of facility, equipment and grounds.
- Work with co-packers, vendors to ensure quality of all purchased products meet established quality standards.
- As a people leader, you are responsible for recruitment and structuring of the department to ensure there are sufficient resources to deliver on plant objectives, set and assess performance goals, and coach and mentor team members.
What you will do more
- You will ensure that there is strict adherence with all appropriate laws, food safety quality standards and consumer requirements of all manufactured products and manage crisis situations internally and externally in ways that support the company’s image, policies and business.
- Ensure RM, PM, Co-packed products and their own factory produced products are inspected, tested, and measured for conformance to specifications.
- Manage HACCP and GMP Program to ensure hygiene and good manufacturing practices (GMP) are being used. Provide technical support for the cross-functional teams to ensure a high degree of compliance with company quality and safety policy.
- Ensure that raw materials, packaging, labels, and final products that do not meet acceptance criteria are rejected or retained.
- Establish, maintain, and promote good communications with all departments, levels of management, and external representatives as required. Offer mentoring, coaching, and support to new QA team members, Associates, Team Leads, Supervisors, and Plant Managers.
- Ensure that the quality program is providing a systematic approach for evaluation, inspection, testing, calibration or whatever is need to monitor and ensure quality of all factory products.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Requirements for Role of Quality Control Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality control roles.
