Job Description

Quality Assistant at NMC Healthcare in NMC Royal Medical Centre – Delma, Abu Dhabi, UAE will support the healthcare organization in maintaining and improving the quality of patient care and services. This role involves assisting with quality assurance activities, data analysis, compliance monitoring, and process improvement initiatives. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 5000-10000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Quality Assistant

  • Gather and analyze data related to patient outcomes, safety incidents, and healthcare processes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Monitor and track adherence to healthcare industry regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies. Report any non-compliance issues to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of quality-related data, reports, and documentation. Ensure that all documentation meets regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and collaborate with healthcare staff to develop and implement strategies for enhancing patient care and safety.
  • Provide training and support to staff members on quality-related topics, including best practices, compliance requirements, and data collection methods.
  • Coordinates improvement activities for successful accrediting, licensing, and certification surveys (e.g., DHA, DOH, MOH, JAWDA, OSHAD, CAP, JCIA, ISO, etc.)
  • Supervises and evaluates Joint Commission International (JCI) – related tasks and activities in the hospital/clinic.
  • Sending out Agenda’s and documenting minutes for Different Committee meetings.
  • Assist in conducting internal audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of quality assurance processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports and summaries of quality performance indicators, trends, and outcomes to key stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyze patient feedback and complaints to identify areas of concern and opportunities for improvement in patient satisfaction.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals, administrators, and regulatory agencies to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained.

  • Executes the responsibilities maintaining high level of ethical, moral and professional standards.
  • Ensures that the overall activities in the department meet the requirements of quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Strive to keep up to date with the latest developments in the field of departmental and administration, and in the field of expertise.
  • Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records, and reports.
  • Effectively and consistently communicates to administrative personnel and encourage interactive departmental meetings and discussions.
  • Communicates the mission ethics and goals as well as the focus statement of the department.
  • To comply with CS OSH Roles and Responsibilities applicable with OSHAD Standards and applicable Legal Requirements.
  • Actively participate in the company’s on-going Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Programs and other In-Service Training Programs.
  • Act as a translator if needed.
  • Perform other duties and tasks assigned by the Head of Department within the scope of job.

Requirements for Role of Quality Assistant

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 year of experience in healthcare set-up.
