Job Description
Parsons Corporation is in need of an experienced QA/QC Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible to lead the Quality Team on a large scale civil marine engineering project for a high profile client. Requisition ID for this vacancy is R151606.
Responsibilities of A QA/QC Manager
- Direct preparation, issue and maintain project QA/QC program manual and procedures in compliance with Parsons and customers’ quality requirements, and ensure that these are implemented effectively.
- Direct and coordinate efforts to initiate (and maintain) Project ISO 9001 QMS certification.
- Ensure that Parsons and customers’ quality requirements are met for products and services provided, by verifying compliance with quality standards and quality program requirements.
- As Audit Team Leader (ATL) prepare, plan, and perform external audits of internal and external organizations
- Reviews and reports on new or revised regulatory requirements and their impact on the established QA program
- Develops and Implements corrective actions for condition reports assigned to Quality
- Monitors project engineering, safety, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, and other activities to evaluate the quality of products, activities and program effectiveness.
- Identify and report to executive management, quality issues or trends based on data from a variety of sources.
- Prevents quality problems by identifying risks and recommending improvements to correct potential deficiencies or program weaknesses
- Participates in QA Audits, surveillances, and self-assessments
- Verifies actions taken in response to issues to assure adequacy of completed actions
- Recommend and ensure implementation of appropriate corrective action to quality issues, in coordination with company management.
- Provide input to management on organization performance metrics, and process or procedural system improvements.
- Act as liaison with customers, contractors and/or internal departments on quality related matters.
- Interface with other Parsons EMEA Quality Assurance Managers as member of Corporate Quality Working Group to maintain the PACE Quality Guide and advance the overall performance of quality at Parsons.
- Provide leadership, guidance and training to QAQC personnel; monitor performance, and identify skills, training, and capabilities needed for QAQC activities.
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed by project leadership.
Requirements For QA/QC Manager
The eligibility requirements for role of a QA/QC Manager are as under:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
- Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equal) or ASQC certification (CQM/CQE). Active membership in an industry-recognized QA/QC organization.
- Minimum of 12+ years of related work experience in the field of quality assurance, including 5 years experience in management capacity.
- Desired: Specialized courses in engineering, technical or quality assurance disciplines.
- Current or lead auditor certification.
Knowledge & Skills Desired
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills (Oral and written) in the English Language.
- Reasoning skills for problem identification and resolution.
- Ability to use a Computer with intermediate skills in Microsoft 365, Sharepoint, Oracle Aconex.
- Ability to read and understand P6 Schedules (Gantt Charts).
- Technical Working Knowledge of Civil Engineering in a Marine Environment, Dredging, Quay Wall installation, Bridge Construction, Roadway construction, Infrastructure construction, marine edge construction, ground improvement (reclamation, compaction methods, testing, geotechnical quality assurance standards, backfilling, excavation, surveying in both land in marine environments, soil improvement methods and testing requirements).
- Six sigma or lean skills and tools exposure.
- Software development quality assurance.
- Knowledge of the application of corrective action for conditions adverse to quality.
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards associated with the design, construction, and procurement of Marine Edges, and Reclamation Works.
