IIQAF UAE is presently looking for a highly organized and detail oriented Purchase Officer to join their team in Dubai. The ideal candidate for this position must be a motivated and confident individual who can work collaboratively with team members and has excellent communication and negotiation skills. Job Purpose of A Purchase Officer

Responsible for identifying and sourcing merchandise and services, as well as managing the procurement process and maintaining key relationships with vendors.

Job Duties of A Purchase Officer

  • Identify and source products and services from outside vendors.
  • Analyze pricing and market conditions to ensure that suppliers are providing materials at competitive prices.
  • Create and issue purchase orders and contracts for materials, supplies and services.
  • Follow up with vendors to confirm delivery dates and monitor progress of pending orders.
  • Liaise between vendors and internal departments to ensure timely delivery and complete orders.
  • Handle vendor disputes and invoice discrepancies.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and third party vendors to secure orders on the best terms.
  • Develop relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality products and services.
  • Prepare & maintain records of all purchases and pricing information.
  • Update purchase order system to ensure all purchases and documents are up to date.
  • Perform any other job duty as asked by the higher authority or which may fall within the job scope.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in
  • 2-3 years of experience in procurement or sourcing.
  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Thorough understanding of supply chain management principles.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and problem solving skills.
  • Analytical and detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish & maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & other related software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
