Proposal Engineer Johnson Controls UAE

Johnson Controls UAE is actively looking to hire suitable candidate for job position of Proposal Engineer ELV / Security Systems. The selected candidate will be responsible for driving the growth of business for Install division segment of Building Technology and Solutions with focus on Security & ELV Systems.

Duties of A Proposal Engineer

• Review project drawings and specifications.
• Capture the scope and understand the complete requirements of the project by referring to multiple documents and relating each other.
• Should be agile in grasping the design requirements from the master specifications.
• Design review checklists, and drawings related to architectural, civil, electrical, elevator, door hardware, cabling, automatic gate systems, and fencing.
• Prepare and attend project kick-off, review, and coordination meetings with technical queries, compliance or deviations log, and risk logs.
• Coordinate with team to quote materials and labor including, but not limited to the access control equipment, CCTV equipment, and commissioning.
• Create a detailed bill of material including but not limited to Servers, Storages, Workstations, Controllers, Field Devices, Software, Integration Modules, Network equipment, Cables, and Accessories.
• Prepare cost sheets according to the final BOQ, Cost comparison charts, Checklist, Technical Write-up, Block Diagram, Deviation Chart, etc.
• Must analyze and ensure provided estimate is the most cost effective and optimized, compliant solution considering all aspects of the opportunity.
• Escalate issues at the right time, so as not to affect the project delivery schedule, any escalations with respect to the scope devotions or assumptions must be clearly backed up with adequate documentation.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of Personal Engineer- ELV / Security Systems are as under:

• BE/ Diploma in (Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication).
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in Physical Security Systems.

Knowledge & Skills Desired

• Strong knowledge of Physical Security Systems.
• Strong knowledge on Structured cabling and Networks for security system.
• Exposure to standard products/brands usedE.g., Lenel, Tyco Software House C•CURE 9000,Keri systems , Comnet, Zenitel, Boon-Edam, Cisco Switches, SightLogix, Senstar, Axis, etc.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).
• Knowledge of protocols such as OSDP, Wiegand, RS-485, BACnet, Modbus, OPC, etc.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently to cover end-to-end tender/bid requirements.
• Mut have a UAE Driving License.
