Project Engineer, Johnson Controls UAE

Johnson Controls presently has a job opening for suitably qualified candidate for the position of a Senior Project Engineer. The selected candidate will be based in Abu Dhabi and will be a part of a team that is responsible for the execution of Fire and Gas detection & Protection System projects within Oil & Gas sector in the Middle East region. Purpose of A Project Engineer

• Prepare schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
• Review the projects in compliance with NFPA codes & practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.

Duties of A Project Engineer

• Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals, plans, completes technical studies, cost estimation and conferring with management.
• Determine project specifications by studying project design, customer requirements and performance standards.
• Manage project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements.
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, resolving problems.
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing information and trends and recommend actions.
• Manage the project execution i.e. design, procurement and installation activities within budget, agreed schedule and exceeding the customer expectations.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor Degree in electrical / mechanical engineering or similar field.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in project execution of major projects for fire and gas systems and fire fighting systems in oil & gas sector within GCC countries.
• Must have work experience in UAE / Oman / Kuwait/Qatar within the oil & gas sector.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Strong technical knowledge of fire and gas systems, fire protection (water Based systems) / gas suppression/ foam / special hazard protection.
• Excellent client facing and internal communication skills.
• Knowledge of project cost management, revenue generation and invoicing to customer.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi tasking.
• Fluency in the english language is essential.
• Driving license with ability to travel.
