Job Description
EDGE Group is actively hiring qualified and experienced candidate for the job role of a Production Planner. The selected candidate will be assigned to work at EPI Company (subsidiary of EDGE Group). EDGE Group has just announced this vacancy and is openly accepting applications from all interested candidates.
Responsibilities of Production Planner
- Responsible for creating, modifying, and managing production schedules.
- The production planner’s responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates to management, and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers.
- Evaluating purchase orders to create suitable production schedules.
- Estimating the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production.
- Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production.
- Coordinating production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
- Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
- Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
- Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner.
- Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
- Demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure that production operations run smoothly.
- Knowledgeable of material requirements planning and able to manage production deadlines.
- Championing the organization values and performance culture at all times to model behaviors to wider team staff.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for role of Production Planner are as under:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain management, or relevant experience.
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is desirable.
- Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in Production Planning.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience in Industry Aerospace, Defense and Oil & Gas is desirable.
