Job Description
The Senior Product Manager Ecommerce Sports at GMG will lead across several products and services from inception to launch to deliver and exceed on core business goals. Working with multi-disciplinary teams, candidate will create, plan develop and release new and existing products to ensure business leads the way as the future of Sports retail. Job holder will lead and mentor cross-functional teams using Agile frameworks. A customer evangelist, candidate will identify opportunities for enhancing existing features and implementing new cutting-edge technologies to deliver a best-in-class user experience.
Responsibilities of Product Manager
- Own the entire Product Development Lifecycle, from discovery sessions with key stakeholders to delivering and reporting on the product roadmap.
- Create, maintain and communicate product roadmaps and release plans.
- Assess the overall platform performance, features and user experience to pivot future roadmaps.
- Prioritise features and functionality to meet business objectives.
- Analyse product data and customer usage metrics to inform product decisions.
- Define product requirements and work with the UX, engineering and data team to deliver business objectives.
- Work closely with engineering, marketing, customer service, store and fulfillment teams to coordinate product launches.
- Evangelise your products by creating presentations, demos and content.
- Job-Specific Skills: Lead the ideation, development and launch of innovative platforms, products and features.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product vision, define product requirements, coordinate resources from other groups (design, legal, etc.) and guide the team through key milestones.
- Plan, initiate and manage tech projects for your products and platforms.
- Define product specifications using clear, consistent and unambiguous user stories and acceptance criteria with any supporting documentation required.
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products.
- Identify and track key performance metrics.
- Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to improve user experience and conversion metrics.
- Identify and research market opportunities through existing and cutting-edge technologies, presenting findings and recommendations back to the Director of Product, demonstrating the business value of the proposed solution.
- Work closely with the Director of Product to deliver the product vision and strategy for Sports division.
- Actively participate in the development of a self-managing cross functional team where every member of a project or release believes that they are “all in this together”.
Requirements for Role of Product Manager
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 3+ years relevant experience as a Product Manager or related role in retail e-commerce.
