Responsibilities of Procurement Planning Specialist

Operational Responsibilities

• Assist the Department with vendor management engagement duties, including regulatory and compliance reviews.
• Developing and maintaining effective partner relationships with strategic technology vendors, negotiating and signing for new and existing Vendor Agreements.
• Be the principal liaison between the vendor and internal end users.
• Conduct vendor risk assessment.
• Assist in delivering an effective financial due diligence review process of suppliers to analyze short and long-term financial viability.
• Validate due diligence, risk assessments, coordinate stakeholder approvals, and assure vendor compliance.
• Serve as the primary liaison to suppliers for receipt of required financial documents.
• Perform ongoing vendor compliance reviews and gain stakeholder approvals/waivers on exceptions.
• Coordinate and evaluate vendor performance scorecards.
• Keep Vendor Agreements and Certification requirements current.
• Review and approve vendor re-certification and vendor package.
• Coordinate vendor management policies and compliance requirements with business vendor relationship managers for vendors.
• Publish and analyze high-risk vendor scorecards.
• Periodically audit the vendor database to assure data integrity.
• Adhere to the University’s information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly.
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any other related field.

• Expats: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
